A fan of the show emailed Rhonda regarding Audrey's behavior just prior to her graduation and here's the response Rhonda sent via email:

Let me see if I can answer your questions:
I would like to ask you if you really felt Audrey was right in her reaction.
Audrey is a highly charged emotional person who has a hard time looking outside of herself. Was her reaction the best it could be? Absolutely not. What you didn't see on SO is I asked her what she could have done differently that evening. She was out of line asking the ladies of SO to choose between her and Karen yet Karen basically was asking the same thing. They both wanted to 'test' the other women. Audrey just did it "Audrey's way" which is not enrolling. The other women chose Karen. And that is where the fight began...and continued all night until the next day. Audrey was off base when she wouldn't get a table for all the women for them to eat dinner with her. Everyone contributed to the fight that night. I don't think anyone is innocent. I know when I left the theatre that night..PJ was going with Karen and the rest of the ladies were going with Audrey so something happened after that that turned the tide.

It certainly seemed that she was your chosen one.

I have heard this said a few times and I think it is interesting. Audrey? My chosen one?!? I was Audrey's lead coach. We spent more time together and I supported her in her goal. It was a difficult experience since Audrey didn't want coaching she just wanted cheerleading. I can do that yet I always want to go deeper. Audrey was not open to changing and I told her that repeatedly. Yet, her goal was to become a singer and songwriter. I repeatedly told her "your talent lies in songwriting" and I still believe that is where her strength lies. She wasn't open to hearing anything else no matter how many experts I brought in. I had to stay very focused with Audrey about what I 'could' do. What changes 'could' I make. My policy is I am not here to judge your dream or your talent. My job is to make your dream happen. And I helped Audrey do it. Yet, obviously Audrey being 'my chosen one' is hard to swallow since you noticed she thanked Rana rather than me at her graduation. And they only had one session together. Audrey was a challenge to coach and I did what I could with the opening I had.

Do you every read the message boards?

No. It is too painful. And I tell all my family and friends to only tell me the good stuff. I get hurt too!

I was very saddened that she was allowed to graduate.
She completed her goal as defined by the SO house. It is similiar to Cassie or Maureen. Cassie or Maureen did not dramatically change their emotions or personalitiies but they did accomplish their 'goal.' Same goes for Audrey. But I understand your frustration. Take your frustration with watching it and multiple it by a hundred and that is probably what it felt like in the SO house to go through it.

Why was Audrey never called to a BOR?

Audrey did have a BOR. And her housemates called her on her behavior. And her housemates knew how she was treating me. Yet, Audrey - as she shared many times - she feels like an outsider always. She believes that people don't like her so there is little chance of making an impact if the person thinks they are not the problem.

Audrey was a challenge and a heartache for me. Yet, she did accomplish her goal. I stayed true to my commitment to her talent for songwriting which I believe she does have. I think she can write songs and if she chooses to pursue it, will do well.

I hope these answers support you. I appreciate you asking in a thoughtful and kind way. I have learned not to respond to emails that are anger and hurtful. I felt you were sincerely wanting answers so I am sharing my thoughts with you. Thank you for your willingness to frame your email in a way that inspired me to reply.

The new houseguest is Rain from South Bend, Indiana. She's a welfare mother trying to support her two children. Her goal is to get off welfare.

Audrey's Phoenix Performance

According to someone who saw Audrey's Phoenix performance, it was actually good. She says,"Audrey performed at the Arizona State Fair in October during the Rockin Roadhouse Tour with Joe Diffey, Mark Chestnutt and Tracy Lawerance. I had front row center stage seats so I saw and heard her well. She actually did a pretty good job and the crowd really liked her. They announced that she was a part of a show coming up but I had no idea what it was. I had to help my daughter for three weeks due to her heart surgery and she watches Starting Over. When I saw Audrey, I told her that's the lady that sang at the concert I went to. I even have a picture I took of her. So she did do a good job, you'll see."

Kimberlyn Speaks

Kimberlyn has a radio show that can be heard online. On it, she said that the house was misrepresented to her prior to her entering; she wasn't expecting it to be like the Oprah show where everyone talks about their problems. It is likely that Kimberlyn doesn't have as many issues as the other house guests. Another rumor states that Kimberlyn has some sort of medical disorder which accounts for her disoriented behavior, the sleeping all day, and habitual tardiness to activities.
